2008 Heritage - 38000 miles

While riding back from Sturgis tonight my bike's check engine and battery lights came on. It threw code P0564. Where do I start?

Need to get it fixed and headed back to Tennessee on Saturday morning.

 

I would start by checking the battery ground cable. I believe the POxxx codes are mostly battery related. Battery may have kicked it.

 

Hopefully you got your issue fixed. As was already stated, I would check battery, voltage etc. I could not find any code P0564. All the other codes surrounding that one are battery related. Good luck

 

That could be related to the bad batch of voltage regulators that have been plagueing Harleys. A VR test is simple for someone to do for you... takes 5 mnutes and a multi-meter. If it passes the multi-meter test then you would have to have the bike running to go any further. (You can also test the stator with a meter without the bike running).
