Default Question bout Vance and Hines pro pipe melting bags

So I emailed Vance and Hines to see if the pro pipe would work with my leather pro bags on my 96 springer and they told me that it would melt my bags and I couldn't use that pipe. So my question is Is there a 2-1 pipe I can use with my bags? I have 2" drag pipes on it now and want to get some power back gonna install a Andrews e27 cam and dynatek 2000i ignition and coil and wanted a 2-1 pipe. Or is there another option I can use for the pipes? Any help would be great

Many on this forum have used the pro pipe on Heritage with no problem. V&H is just covering their *** because the pipe ends up under the bag instead of behind it.

Default Drago is longer

That's what I was thinking also. And talked with frank drago and he said he never had one complaint bout his pipes melting bags but his is also longer so leaning towards that pipe now more.

Think they are referring to the plastic shell inside the bags. So the bags keep their shape. Should the shield go on the bag or off the bag?

I was thinking of getting the Pro Pipe for my Heritage. Never thought about wrecking my bags.
