Default Looking for advice on changing my tin

I want to change the color of my 1999 Softail FXSTC Custom. However, I don't want to destroy the unique Blue/silver two tone paint, so I'm thinking of changing out the tins. This is also an opportunity to change style of the tank and fenders, but I'm not sure I want to do that. I like the style of the Breakout fender, but I haven't seen any 3rd party Breakout style fenders that would fit on a 1999.

I am looking for opinions, ideas and suggestions on all parts of my thinking.

Thanks

Beary

I can understand you wanting to make a change yet keep the original tins. But if it were me I wouldn't go with a break out rear fender. It looks so unfinished. Like somebody just lopped it off and left it. I don't think it has any aesthetics. No flow, no style, no grace. But that's just me.

You could probably get the same look by taking a stock fender and just hacking it off square.

I agree with the above post. Just find one that fits and make it look like you want it to.
