Default HD oil or Mobil 1

I have been using Harley Dealership oil in crankcase and chaincase oil changes. Was wondering if it would be okay to use Mobil 1 Synth 20w-50?

Yup...I've used Mob1 in all three holes. I switched to Redline for trans / primary to see how that works for the noise. Works ok but I will try another next time. RL is more expensive.

I use the HD oil in all three holes.
I do so primarily because that's what I've always used.

My question to you is why do you want to make the change?
Not questioning your intentions, just want your reasoning.

Of course it will be OK - did you mean the V-Twin ?

Always use 1qrt of new oil to purge the engine at each oil change.

Oil is oil, Syn oil is syn oil. All the oils themselves are the same. Its their additive packages that sets one apart from the other.

I use HD or Mobile1, whichever one is priced the lowest when it's time.

Castrol 4T 20-50 in all three holes because its super cheap. I did try the Redline Tranny fluid in my Breakout and didn't really notice a difference over motor oil.

I use Harley 20/50, Formula + and Bel-Ray at the moment, simply because I have so much of it left over from my years working as a tech at a dealership. When I use this up I will switch to a differnt brand.
