Its been a while since I was on here but I finally got my saddlebags on my Fatboy. They are police saddlebags and I used the baggertail to mount them. I used the deluxe tour pack hinges. They only took a little filing and drilling to fit. I also added the fat bagger inc. (FBI) ***** to replace the hockey puck looking *****. I think they turned out pretty good and now I don't need to always have a backpack with me.

Great job. The issue is the turn signals, did you use a deluxe light mount mounted up high?

Pretty simple to install and looks good.

 

I like the way you think. I was dead set on some police bags for my fatboy too. I like the way they open versus normal touring bags.

Me too. So does Harley I guess as all the new bags open like the police bags always did.

They have a normal hinge on the outside of the bag and a latch on the inside and just open and close without needing all the gymnastics you need to pop up the lid then unhitch it from the inside latches then flip it open like you have to do for older bags. You can open police and new bags with one hand from the seat not two hands standing beside the bike like the old bags.
