Smokinbutts HD or Vtwin makes a rear bumper that goes under the fender that rues together the bag mounts. I had one on my road king as you can see in this video. I thought it looked nice.

I haven't got to ride with them on very much yet, but they seem pretty good. They do shake a little and I may eventually put a brace in between them but for now I am just going to leave them as is.

Altho tying them together may help, my indie knows as well as others here that that alone will not make them solid..maybe strong enough to live with tho..
I would like my indie to copy the really strong mounts that was built in this thread
