I remember chatting with you a while back, that bike is just OUTSTANDING! Congrats on making it a magazine feature, that's a real honor.
Let's see the build thread again.
I in particular love the clean bars and want to refresh my memory on how you did the clutch/front brake setup.
Here are some shots of the Bars under construction. I started with 1.25 bars with a light pullback, then welded in some 1/2 round stock. The internal throttle and twist clutch are from Exile. I had to fill in the tapered down section where the switch pods usually go, since I used a Grip Ace system for the electronics. It was easy enough, just some 1.25 OD 1.0 ID tube cut to size and welded in place.
That clean front end blows my mind. Looks terrific. How do you apply the front brake? How does it drive with that twist clutch?
The front brake is integrated with the rear on the peddle on a double banjo bolt. it was a B$&^# to bleed but once it was good, no problems. I have tested it a few times and the fronts will not lock up before the rear.
The Twist clutch takes just a few minutes to get used too. If you are coordinated enough to squeeze a clutch lever and work the throttle, you can twist the clutch grip and work the throttle.
Good deal. I know how you feel because mine was in last months American Iron Magazine as a snapshot and I havent done nearly the outstanding job you did. It is an ego boost and good conversation piece.
