Default ? stability of hard bags on softail?

I was all set to order some hard bags for my heritage..
My Indy says he hates doing that..cites the side to side sway of the bottom rear of them..
Says all the current mounting systems suck..
He had fabricated a mounting dock that he cares about but expensive..
I've looked thru many threads and posts..
I don't see it as a concern brought up by anyone..
Any critiques here?
Thx

I had a set of ElectraGlide bags mounted on my Fatboy with Easy Brackets / Ghost brckets. but they rode too high for my liking. So I got a set of brackets off ebay made specifically for softails. Bags are lower and work fine. I have not had any issues, the bike rides and handles the same as with the stock fatboy leather bags.

Get the Softail mounts off Ebay. No problems at all. You can get chrome or black mounts. $145 for the black ones like I have.

Cyclevision baggertail brackets are the best. Most expensive perhaps but simple install and just as stable as a bagger.

why does the baggertail mounts specifically exclude fiberglass bags?

I made mine from a set of 09 up one piece baggers. Cut and fabbed to go to the rear pegs, couple of brackets down from strut and a crossover on the fender bottom. I think total cost was about 50 bucks in material. The specific height I wanted built in.

I never noted that before. I can't imagine why. Unless there is a different base on the fiber bags, but I would think that any bag that uses standard measurements should work fine. In fact just thinking about this, I used a buddies fiberglass (HD) bags to mock up mine. They fit fine. Maybe extra heavy though. Not sure, might be a question for them. Cyclevisions has great support.

Cyclevisions and Baddad mounts have a bracket that connect both mounts together underneath the rear fender to minimize the sway. This is what separates them from the cheaper bags on eBay and everywhere else.
