I have a set of late model OEM saddlebags mounted on my `89 Softail, using Cycle Vision mounting system. They are solid.

Jakazz how far do your bags standoff the fenders?
The bottom anchor point is connected to the filler, yeah?

Specs for mounting hardware require that exhaust is lower than rear axle..
I have V&h longshots they are lower than the center of axle but probly not lower
than the full hub..
Will they work?
Thx

Default baggy

I have two softails, a 011 Fatboy Lo and a 08 Crossbones. On the Fatboy I used the cheaper mounts off ebay and the bags flop around on bumps. I have a plan to fix but shouldn't have been cheap. On the Crossbones, which I bought after the Fatboy, I boned up and spent the money for the Cyclevision brackets. Well actually I got a smoking deal on the brackets and Road King Classic saddlebags on ebay. Had to fab a bracket because the they were for a Deluxe with a more narrow tire. The bracket shows with the stubby fender on the Crossbones. I mounted the original signals on the lower inside corners of the bags and think it looks good. Got lots of compliments and picture takes at the Hog Rally. HOG rep even gave me a compliment. On the Fatboy I used Cyclevision lights that mounted in the Road King classic bags. Not as visible I've been told but clean. I think the RK Classic bags that are leather covered look better and more fitting on these two bikes.

K..unless my Indy can get the bags way close to the fenders, I'll use the cyclevision.
