Default Crossbones oil tank

I have a 2008 Crossbones and I want to put a 2009 oil tank on it (I like the skull decal). I think it should fit...can anyone confirm before I buy one?

My advise would be to buy the decal and place it on your bike. Much easier to remove the patent emblem and put on the sticker than change the whole tank.

Should be a direct replacement. I tried looking up to see if you could just get a decal. No luck, unless you can find someone to make you a decal. Might be a cheaper route than buying a whole new oil tank.

I like it, but I can see how some people wouldn't like it.

According to this Harley parts database, it is a decal. Look at line 15.
My guess would be its a decal under the matte clear coat.
