Thx Alain....it's a stock seat that I took to a local upholsterer. He cut almost 2'' off the front, reshaped the sides, shaved down the foam to make it lower in the middle an provide just the tad more lower back support u need to prevent u from sliding backwards. Then he added a gel insert and recovered it with vinyl (full-grain leather look) and the gray diamond stitching.

In the end it came out even cheaper than any available aftermarket seat

Check out my custom seat thread:

I love the shape of the seat dude. They did a great job. Thanks for the info.

That old thread of yours has no pics on it. Still some good info there though. Wish the guy you used was here in the states.

Alain, thanks for the hint with those missing photos. I might have moved the corresponding album on Photobucket, I'll check. Edit: Fixed!

Yeah, I love the seat, too. Rides fantastic, very comfy, and the look is very basic (old school )

Default 'Dyno' tuned....finally

Finally I managed to get her tuned after I had the SE204 cams installed. I had the feeling the bike was running a bit lean and was missing a bit of torque in the lower rpm band....now check out the sheet

Bike was tuned by an indy tuner cooperating with my local HD dealer

Before:
82.5 hp (83,6 PS) @ 4985 rpm
93.15 ft-lbs (126,3 Nm) @ 3853 rpm

After:
90.15 hp (91,4 PS) @ 4691 rpm
112.6 ft-lbs (152,2 Nm) @ 3692 rpm

What's most amazing is the torque increase in the low rpm band. At 2100 rpm the tq almost doubled from appr. 75 to 135 Nm

I'm not claiming those numbers are great but surely a significant improvement and just fine for my style of riding

Those are much better numbers. Glad you finally got her right.

Aside from the bike itself...where did you get your handlebars at? How wide are they? And the diameter.

Sorry I didn't read every post. I just saw the pictures and wished my bars were as narrow. I don't like the 3' wide bars.

The bars are still the stock ones. Actually I'm tending to get even wider ones in the future

are you satisfied with the ME tyres ? Did you drive the stock tires before so you know the difference ?
Will I be able to install those tires on my BO rims or is 260 only possible on your CVO rim ?

You can install 260 tyre on stock "Gasser" wheel. Take a look at Thunderbike website and you'll notice many customized BO using that tyre.
