not selfish at all.....I quit riding when I had kids an went back when they were high school age....some won't ride without one....some will never wear one...some will only ride in full gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, riding pants) so to each their own...I am trying to wear at least the beanie regularly but I everyone is free to do what they feel comfortable with.

Both the Wife and I use HCI 100 Half Helmet in Glosses Black with the Visor Removed to eliminate buffeting.

Currently wear a Biltwell Bonaza -Tracker Vintage.
I actually prefer my Fulmer V2, but it is 6yrs old. It's time for a new one! But they are nearly impossible to find in my area, and they will not sell online. Archaic business practice.

Scorpion 700 full when cold or trips without windshield, half around town. The guys complaining of wind noise, JUST WEAR PLUGS. I never ride without them, lost enough hearing when I was young with drag pipes. Their are so many kinds now, you can surely find a pair that fit and still let you hear well enough. Try them for at least a couple weeks, your brain adjusts to hear what is important....no kidding. I don't even know their in anymore. You actually hear with your brains, it deciphers the noise.

I live in Crap-achusetts and have to wear a helmet. All the surrounding states don't have helmet laws. I don't wear this one regularly. I wear a brain bucket. But got this old school low profile one done over for when i do need a full helmet(cold weather or rain)

Last I checked, both New York and Vermont are "surrounding states" to Mass., and both require helmets.
