You will have to get new calipers if you get bigger rotors.

I have 11.5" floating rotors with front 6 piston / rear 4 piston calipers. Doesn't stop as well as my sportbike w/ stock brakes but it is a huge improvement over stock.

I installed a 13" rotor on my '98 Ultra with a PM caliper and it was so strong that I eliminated the brakes on the right hand side. With newer Brembo calipers, the 13" rotor swap would be all you'd need IMO.

This is new and would definitely improve things. Add EBC HH pads with stock rotor. Can be bought for less by Coastal_Moto_Man on this forum.

Floating rotor and some aftermarket brake pads,i prefer and use Lyndall. A steel braided line would top it off.

I've been looking into this recently myself. After searching through threads on here I found a company called QTMI in California who sells bolt on Brembro kits. You have the option of using stock rotors, Brembro rotors, or you can have them subtract the pads from the kit if you are going with Lyndall rotors and pads. They also offer an upgraded 12.6" rotor option.

I called to get pricing and ask a few questions and the lady I spoke with was more than helpful. I plan on going with their front/rear brake kit for my softail when the time comes.

I priced this in the past and it was expensive. What is the price the quoted you? Last year they were selling the adapter with brembo caliper on ebay for $190 shipped.

A bigger rotor and a 13" caliper will porvide better stopping power although depending on the brand of rotor you get it may not be a floating rotor.

If money is no issue get a 13" 6 piston caliper and 13" rotor (most 13" rotors are floaters). If you want to spend a little less get stock size rotor and caliper.

If you need a rotor and caliper the cost difference between the size of rotors is negligible. If getting a caliper regardless, I'd get a 13" caliper and 13" rotor. If you have questions please give us a call and we can help.
