Experience with Shade Tree Fab exhaust?
#61
Ok, I am still interested in the original thread here, sorry again for the hijack.
I like the way the rear cylinder headpipe meets the the front on this system. I like the tapered muffler entrance as well
I noticed this rear headpipe looks a LOT like the Paughco system the rear pipe meets the front at closer to 90 degree angle, not as nice IMHO.I think I like the front head pipe better in this second system though :-/
So which header system does Kyle ship? Are both available?

Now, to the question of what Kyle ships. That is the real issue here. Seems he's like a box of chocolates. You just never know what you're gonna get. So, we're taking it into our own hands, and this week I'm looking for someone to fab exhaust for us. I'm working on two things right now:
1. Shark fin tips. All others are readily available, so this we'll need to scrounge and have ceramic/powder coated (we seem to all be on black here)
2. Front tapered mufflers to attach said tips to.
Some are OK with Paughco exhaust angle and others more into what's on Kyle's site (Freedom? Stock?), so I'm considering all options and once I find a source, I'll get everyone's details and make sure we get a set or at least specs for a setup for all.
We'll see how it goes, and I'm always open to suggestions, questions, comments, arguments, refutations, sea stories or dirty jokes.

I would most likely go Chrome exhaust on my bike since I have so much black. (Black wheels, oil tank, headlight) etc. Not a problem, chrome shop just south of me in Pomona.
I think the head pipe should tuck in nicely like the pipes on your Sig Springer. I would not want head pipes any wider than necessary, keep heat off your leg, foot and for looks.
Good luck, Steve

Warrs Kings road customs
Everything from the UK will be big bucks, but the exhaust system on some of the Warrs softail looks very familiar. I wonder the source, the exhaust does not look one off to me. Could the headers be from the USA?
