Had a sportster for a minute, then a 1982 shovel FXR that I rode for 23 years. Picked up my '00 Heritage last October. Never have looked back. The bike is perfect for me.
I though that maybe all the Heritage guys were stuck in a nursing home with limited computer access. Just kidding. I just might have to get one someday. I was really surprised at how comfortable the Heritage was. Totally different riding experience. I think it would be nice if it had cruise control.
If they gave it cruise control HD would not sell any touring bikes........swifty
I agree with Swifty, my wife has a 2014 CVO Deluxe with cruise. I had a Street Glide and the only thing I miss is the cruise. I heard that they are some major changes for the 2016 softail, maybe cruise control will be added….
Love my 06 Heritage..but I have to agree with Misbehaven..The chrome studs is over the top in my opinion..I am in the process of changing them all out for black studs/dots now. Seat, back pack and 1 saddle bag is done..but really like the look a lot more.
I seldom stop by at a dealship, but when I do I always find myself sitting on a heritage, reminiscing about my long gone Evo powered one. Now that they finally come with ABS brakes I've been thinking of picking up another, (and keeping my Ultra Limited). And, again I ask the sales guy hovering nearby, "can I get one with electonic cruise control like my Ultra has?" He answers with a "No". What's the problem HD? Once you have it I won't go back to riding a street bike without cruise control. Then I tell the sales guy how all the Indians all come with cruise control. then I usually walk out the door, again.
