Exhaust, Cobra true duals vs Freedom true duals
Just purchased stock 2013 Heritage. I've been looking at the Cobra true dual exhaust and Freedom true dual exhaust, and want billet tips. I believe their fairly new exhaust and both have 2-1/2 covers the entire length. Has anybody got either of these exhaust with stage 1 setup? Opinions on exhaust, air cleaner and tuner would be appreciated.

Have been running a Cobra 2n1 for 5 years now. Owned VH prior. Cobra quality is not VH quality. The shields are thinner and headers are not built as well, thinner also. However, it did provide a nice sop increase in performance, is stepped, and costs a couple hundred lesss. Also, the Cobra has held up very well, no bluing, rust or pitting. No one can tell the metal is thinner as it still looks great, I would buy again. Cant comment on Freedom.
The tuner is all about how much you want to spend. I'd look at a real tuner like Power Vision or TTS. Otherwise, get a used Fuel Pac or Dobeck DFO/TFI. Save the money now and get a real tuner later, if needed.

I went from a 2 into 1 (fatcat) to the freedom sharktails. I have cams, head work etc done on my bike so it is a bit more than stage 1, but I noted no performance decrease when I went to the sharks. The look, fit and finish is awesome. I would highly suggest Freedom Performance exhaust to anyone that asks.
