RE: help with lepera seat
I have no guard and haven't noticed any unusual amount of scratching....I don't know why anyone would say that it would scratch any more than anywhere else on the bike....I am assuming you don't plan on riding a passenger on the bare fender.
PS...thanks for the compliment.....I have more stuff to do to the bike this weekend...in fact I have it half apart right now. I am putting on a tri-bar LED blackout taillight as well as chopper litz LED blinkers and a sidemount plate.

RE: help with lepera seat
Yeah 2000 - 2005 should be wearng the LX 007, the 2006-2007 should have the LK-007. You may need to re-check either the seat or the bike year possibly. Not trying to sound like a smart ***, but thats the only thing that it sound like to me. I had bought a LX-007 for my 06 FXST off ebay cause it said 2000 and later, yeah found that one wrong obviously. When I tried it on, it sounded like the same look you are describing above with the gaps. Anyway, I returned it luckily and got the money back and order the right one from Lepera direct.
