Default Springer Seat on a Deluxe - Highly Recommended

Just got my springer seat with rail from Chicago Harley...holy cow what a difference! Not only is the seat sooooo much more comfortable than the stock deluxe, the tall riders backrest makes you feel like you are in a La-z-boy! Got both the seat (51792-01, from a 00-03 Springer) and the tall backrest (52827-97) for $467.16 shipped.

Pictures coming soon!

Lets see some pics!

I had my stock seat reworked and added the Springer rail...much better.

I've got a "springer" seat on my deluxe, but I've got to be honest...it's really not as confortable as the stock seat

One of my buddies has a 2001 heritage springer. This guy is 6'2", a sheriff's officer, and and avid outdoorsman who is used to being cold, wet, uncomfortable, etc. We switched bikes and after about 20 miles he wanted to switch back because ofmy seat . What a difference, his springer seat was like sitting on a big ez boy recliner, so comfortable!!! Alot better than my stock deluxe seat.

The only problem I had with the stock seat is the riding position. It pushed me too far foward and wasn't "scooped' enough. I was used to a Lepera Bare Bones on my Night Train. I wanted to keep the stock look to match the bags and Troupak. As soon as I bought the bike, I sent the stock seat to Americanasoftseats and had it reshaped to move be down (more scooped) and back away from the tank. They also installed a gel pad and memory foam. I ride all day with no problems. Of course I could ride all day on the Bare Bones too...

I'm thinking of a new seat with backrest and like this option. Sure is cheaper, and better looking than the Corbin set up.

Any ideas on which is more comfortable? (Corbin / Springer)

Does the Springer let you sit back a bit when it on the deluxe as compared to the stock deluxe?

Looks great!

I think the springer seat definitely sits you up higher than the stock deluxe seat (I can really tell since I now look over the windshield, not through it) and it feels like I am back a bit also. But with the backrest on, my riding posture is more straight up rather than leaned back a bit like I was on the stock deluxe seat. I do think that the springer seat without the backrest would definitely give you a feeling of being farther back.
