I always wonder why Harley would design a bike that can't turn. Seems that a slightly different placement and this wouldn't happen..... glad you are good, coming from sport bikes it would scare the hell outta me. I don't have boards though, so hopefully I'll be alright :-)

 

I scrape my pegs from time to time, what really got my attention is my boot heel bouncing off the pavement.

 

I'm still a kid at heart...love dragging the boards (or pegs on the Sporty). They fold up, giving you more lean angle...just be careful dragging hard parts that don't move....but, of course, when you grind down enough, you've increased your lean angle some.

Wife does not like it so much when I scrape the boards. When she's riding with me I'll hang the heel of my boots off the boards a little. Then when I feel the heel of my boot dragging I know not to lean any further, cause the next thing will be that scrapping noise that scare her. lol

 

Man o man.... mine scrape all the time. 1st time it happened...it freaked me out.
