I think your paint scheme is great as is- but if you really have to delete the stripes (and you can only do that with a total repaint) then go back with gloss.
In the real world here - straight up just being honest - flat black will look like a home rattle can job, not that there is anything wrong with that, just sayin'.

Straight up...just being honest...the only thing missing is some fuzzy dice and curb feelers....maybe some of the lady trucker mud flaps too.
Just sayin of course....hope your not offended.
