Anyone have these on their bike or have experience with them? Thinking about buying a set for my 97 FLSTC but would like to know alittle about them from those with experience of them first.
I have a set on my 99. I really like them. They bark pretty good when you get on it. And are mellow just cruzing. Harley also sold them a few years back as screaming eagle pipes. (made by vance & hines for HD)
Was there any performance benefits to fitting these pipes? Or, did you notice any improvements in how your bike ran after you fitted the V & H Q pipes, good or bad?
how do you mean "harsh"? Ear piercing crotch rocket sort of harsh? What I have now has a very nice deep, throaty sound and that is what I am wanting to emulate with a "better" pipe if possible.

I have to say yes, it runs great. I did have a stock head pipe and SE slip ons before i put this on. It has good decell sound with no poping. The Quiet bafffe can also be changed out for the standard one. Not harsh sounding to me. The pipe is pretty much like running a 2 into 1 as it has a large chamber that both headpipes run into...
where abouts are you in Upstate NY? If close i could let you hear them....

Too me they were not deep and throaty like my current Big Radius with QQ BCT baffles. They had more of a sound that vibrated my head. Hard to explain but I didn't like them.
Perhaps I should go with the Staggered Long Shots then. A little ore expensive but, from the video I have seen, they sound great and similar to what I have now.
While the sound is important, it isn't as important as having a performance advantage.
