Default Fatboy owners - sissy bar luggage

I have this sissy bar on order with the back pad:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...-01-5272908--1

I was looking at the lonestar t-bag but it says it fits 2" thick sissy bars. Anyone know how thick the one I am getting is with the pad on it?
Will this bag fit?

Any other suggestions on sissy bar luggage I should look at? Especially if it holds a lot and is cheaper lol

Thanks for the help.

I've got that bar and pad but I'm redoing it right now and it's not in my reach at the moment but I think you're looking at closer to 3"+ after all's said and done. Pad comes off real easy though.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Pad will definitely be off when I'm solo but pad will be on when the ol lady is riding and she'll be with me on any trips where I'll use the luggage. Need to find something that fits over that pad. Going on a three day trip memorial weekend.

I don't know what one your looking at but maybe it would be easier to just rework the sleeve going over the bar? Just a thought.

Some bags have an adjustable sleeve. Velcro holds it the diameter you need it to go around the bar and pad. Dont know what kind, but I have have seen them and thought what a good idea.

Back in the day if you had a sissy bar and some bungie's any thing would mount up to it.
