Tape to keep it from scratching and a jig saw is all you need. I just cut mine down and it took about 10 minutes.

Had it done at a local glass shop for $25 on my road King windshield. Did it myself on my superglide a few years ago no problem ,but a friend told me about the glass shop so when I got my king I decided it wasn't worth the effort and risk to do it myself for $25. Other than gas I can't think of anything for my bike that has cost only $25.

It costs about $60. But you have to wait till Long Ride Shields (site sponsor) does one of their MANY promotion's. They will ship right to your door, and the shield will be a bazillion times better than a cut shield, and will have a little flip up top to reduce turbulence. Search Long Ride Shields promotion and see how often he does them. I have cut many, and his are better. His specials usually reduce the price of a shield to the 50-60 dollar range.
