Does the Harley Pillion for the Slim (the one that matches the stock seat) rub the paint or anything? It should something protective be installed underneath? I'm a pro detailer so pretty particular about any kind of rubbing or marks.

 

The stock one has a plastic laminate sticker to cover your paint

 

My stock laminate was put on by a drunk HD worker. I pulled it off and I am going to put a piece of 3m vinyl protectant on the fender where it will not be seen, but protect the fender. For now I use a clean piece of rubber shelf liner. Works just fine.

 

I just fold up a microfiber towel and lay it on the fender.then put the seat on. Been perfect so far.

 

I had to replace the clear plastic film between my seat and rear fender. I checked the 3M website and it had a retail locator. Went to the closest one and they were nice folks. Instead of cutting a new sheet, they looked thru some leftover pieces and sold me a huge piece for fifteen bucks...Good deal. Install video on net, easy...
