Default Will I sit further back on a Badlander seat?

My2000 heritage (now a stripped custom)came with a LePera Daytona solo, but I am sitting just a bit too close, I prefer to stretch my arms and lean in a little at speed. Will a Badlander seat put me further back? I don't need much, I am average height (5' 8"), and I like the low look of that style 2-up. I like the aftermarket fat slightly pulled-back bars on it too,and don't want tochange them to astraighter styleif I don't have to.
Thanks

Hi Becket,

I had a Badlander on my Sportster but have never ridden on a LePera so I can't tell you which sits you further back. What I CAN tell you is that the Badlander sat me lower in the bike than the stock Sportster solo. It didn't move me further back which was just fine for me since I'm 5'7". I loved the firmness of the Badlander (felt like a saddle) but my wife HATED the passenger section....too narrow and uncomfortable for her. My daughters hated the seat as well. If you're not going to carry too many passengers...the Badlander rates way up there in thelooks and attitude department. I loved it. Based on what I know about LePera seats (which is little)....I suspect that your riding position won't change much.

I replaced the stock seat with a Badlander a few years ago, and yes, I do sit lower and a little more forward. Not much but it's noticable for a 6' person like me.
Best thing to do is find someone with a badlander to try out.

The Le Pera bare bones solo seat i have sitsme lower and further back on my Heritage.Had a Badlander seat for about 3 hours and couldnt stand it,most uncomfortable seat ever for my weary bones. But others love em so go figure.

Good luck.

You'll be sitting anywhere EXCEPT the seat after 50 miles - Badlanders look good but they aint built for comfort!!
