Never had HD do either of my bikes service, ever. My bet is that if you do not tell them anything is wrong, they will just change the oil with their newest technician and call it good.

For $370.00 you can buy the shop manual from HD, torque wrenches, jack, and most anything else you can think of for the 1K service. Youtube can school you through your PHD in Harley maintenance.
