Default Heritage seat

My wife recently bought me a 2015, heritage classic,as I had cage pill in front of me while riding my ultra classic. We frequently ride 150+ miles per day on the weekends. She has multiple sclerosis, and her legs hurt or go to sleep on the heritage, they never did on the 04 classic. I really think that hard seat may be the cause, she had a lounger on the classic. I think I at least have to try a new seat. Any suggestions?

My wife complained about the stock rear seat that it was too hard. I installed a Mustang wide rear pillion and it is a lot more comfortable. They say you can't install one with a stock seat but that is not true. The front bolts that the seat slide in show a little but it isn't that noticeable.

There are places you can send the seat to also and they can customize the fit and feel also. Mean City Cycles is one place I know of.

The rear seat totally sucks. I got a saddle tour classic when I first got my heritage and put a air cushion on it. The saddle rear seat was an improvement with the air cushion but wasn't all the great without it so this year I got the ultimate seat for my wife. I think she will enjoy the improved comfort.

My best advice is to go to a custom upholsterer, talk to them and get what you NEED and want. Every ones *** is different. What works for 1 guy may not work for the rest. If you do go that route go with Gelfoam for padding. A new rear shock would make a WORLD of difference too.

I have a Mustang on mine and the pax seat is much MUCH softer and a little wider than the stock HD seat. Mind you, my bike is a 97 Heritage so the original seat on that may not be as comfortable as the newer stock seats.

Never sat on the pax seat but the riders seat is nice and much better than the stock. Only issue I have with it is where the seat turns up at the back, the foam is pulled tight down there and sometimes feels like I'm sitting on a cross bar.

Also do you have passenger floor boards installed or just foot pegs?

I don't have floor boards, have been looking for them. Wasn't sure if they would make a difference. Sounds like $800-1000 I can have her comfortable, mustang seat, suspension, and floorboards
