Damn PB you got some serious BLING going on that ride- nice. reminds me of my Big Dog build- Everything nice and shiny - And now that I got sick of polishing, I'm pretty much all black with the BO.. heh.

Invest in a lot of Wenol chrome polish, and Mothers Billet polish (the small expensive billet polish not the regular aluminum polish) - they both produce the best results with least effort. Simichrome is decent too if you can't find Wenol.

Can't wait to see it all done-

Race Tech springs, and oil came in today. Ricor Intiminators should be here tomorrow.

I should be able to do the front end by the end of next week, and hopefully have the rear wheel swapped out also.

Bikes looking great. I love looking at builds that are different from the crowd, and this is defintely one of them.

I have to say those factory contrast cut wheels actually look great against that white and orange tins. No doubt the new setup will look killer though

Thanks man. I thought it looked strange with the black wheels glad someone didn't.

I stumbled across an old thread from 24v abiut the size of the flush mount axles. Thanks 24v for the info.

I ordered a Yaffe one, and of course it's chrome.

Starting changing out the front end today. Was using LA Dog's Sticky as my guide. I had read it multiple times but forgot one important thing. I am changing sliders as well and LA Dog did not.

Needless to say I hit a few obstacles.

The first obstacle I hit was not having a 12mm Hex bit that removes the bolt from the bottom of the tube.

I also took apart the tube prior to loosening the bolt... May be trouble may not.

I also did not realize I would need a fork rebuild kit to change out the seals to ensure I did not have any leaks upon installation.

I may even possibly need more fork oil as I purchased enough for the stock tubes. However, again im installing wide glide tubes which are 2.5" longer than stock.

Checked local auto parts stores, Sears, and Harbor Freight and none had a 12mm hex bit long enough to remove the bolts from the tubes.

Fork rebuild kit and 12mm hex bit ordered. Should be here in the near future.

Don't mind the wet concrete. We finally got some much needed rain.

Your new tubes are longer ?? I'm confused.

I'd zip tie that front caliper to the frame somewhere man. You don't wanna end up banging that thing around while its hanging there.

A while back I got some Wide Glide fork tubes to change out my stock tubes. they are 2.5" longer which will raise my bike some. I am tired of scraping my pegs and not being able to corner very well.

It's already wrapped and secure.

Always minor set backs. It looks like you're turning your own wrenches on this now, that's cool. Update as you go!
