Looks pretty damn good there bro!! That's where it needs to be to look right.

How far off are the holes when the fender was mounted in that position ?

Did Brendon send you that fender pre-drilled? If he did not and the dealership was the ones who had to drill the holes than they are super lazy. Having a blank fender (with no mounting holes) would have been good in this case. They could have cut off as much material from that mounting area as needed without having to worry about cutting too close to the mounting holes.

As far as the dealership issue, you're absolutely right. Those bums should have called you and told you that they were having a problem with the fender hitting the brake caliper. They should have asked you to come in and discuss a solution.

I had the same problem with the clockwekrs front fender I installed on my rocker. It was a simple fix though, just cut off enough metal from the bottom of that mount area in order to clear the caliper. Done!!!

I still think you can notch those holes up a bit (which will in turn cause the fender to sit lower). But I totally understand if you don't want to go through that, you didn't screw if up. Looks like re-paint is going to be unavoidable.

You talk to the dealership yet?

Brendon sent me a blank fender, no holes. He said there wasn't enough metal on the original to tell where the holes should go.

The holes are off approximately 1 inch. The bottom hole can be cut off. The top hole needs filled or covered up.

Talked to the dealer. They say they want to make it right, but I think I'm through letting them do body work.

Talked to the techs. Found out they drilled the holes by measurements and not by mocking it up. Don't believe they mounted it up prior to paint either. The reason I believe that is when the fender came back they still didn't have spacers to mount it, so it couldn't have been mounted prior.

Called Nub. He's going to make some calls to contacts and see if he can find someone with a Breakout to help get this fender mocked up correctly, repaired, and repainted.

Personally, I would be happy "enough" with it but would request gift card $$$ in exchange for not asking them to deal with it anymore.

The dealer wants to make it right. That's good. They should pay for your re-spray. I'm sure Nub ain't gonna do it for free.

The explanation you got from the techs sounds right. That's exactly what it looks like they did (which makes them retards), they just measured and never bothered to mock the fender.

Looks like you're making progress with this ordeal though. Good news is that you can ride the bike while this gets sorted out.

Brendon called me today and checked in on my issues. Says he's gonna talk to some Cody (worked with Paul Jr and him) to see if he can fix my fender in NY to save me some shipping costs, since he's right there by Nub.

I tell you guys, Nub and Brendon are the real deal. They have both done more for me than i will ever be able to repay. They are both as good as gold. They are really great people. Glad I had the opportunity to deal with both of them.

Do I know anyone up there that would allow them to use a Breakout for mockup? My only other option is send my sliders and wheel. Not very shipping friendly.

OK... Walden is a little over one hour north of me. Nub has your front fender now and needs a Breakout to mock it all together? I'll have some time off starting July 13th. If the weather is good, I'd ride up there.
