Custom Breakout Fenders / Custom Paint

Bacon, orient the fuel lines to run along in the same direction of the tire (front to back, not side to side like you have them in the picture).
That will allow you to sit the fender lower on the tire.
Cut the fuel hose into 4 equal size pieces. Put two pieces next to each other towards the front of the fender and put two prices next to each other (both in the same orientstion I mentioned) and tape them to the tire. Than mount the fender on top of them to get the correct height.
The closer the two pieces of fuel line are to each other, the lower the fender will sit. The further apart they are, the higher the fender will sit.
Try that and take another set of pics. We should see a difference.

The fender is up off the tire because the bottom bolts are still in. The fender is not even sitting tightly against he fuel line. If I wouldn't have been so lazy last night after work I would have pulled those bottom bolts and took a picture.
Brendon said the fenders are designed to have a 3/8" gap on all sides, that's why he said to do the fuel lines sideways to orient the fender centered both ways.
To get it tighter to the tire I'm going to have to remove the bottom bolts and move the fender back and down a little also.
I don't think massaging the holes is gonna work with as much movement as its taking. We shall see.
Jeff, im headed to Rodney's tonight I believe. Should be there about 8. I don't know what time they close.

Good job so far! From this perspective it looks like it would need to be moved down (parallel to the fork legs) at least another 3/8''. Once done rotate slightly counter clockwise until the fork legs are in the middle of the fender mounting bracket. After you mocked up everything I would take some pics of the correct position, mount it back (in the actual but wrong position) and take it back to the dealer together with the photos. As they messed it up let them take care of the rest (fixing and repainting the fender)...
I agree exactly with what you're saying. I'm going to be polite to try and maintain the relationship I have with them. I'm also going to expect them to take care of their mistake (including filling holes and touch up paint.) Even if I have to take it to a body shop and send them the bill.

Aaahhh. I see. If that's the way he told you to use the fuel line than do it his way, he would know better than me.
Good luck talking to the dealership buddy. I'm rootin for ya!

Ok. Brendon says he thinks they might have had trouble mounting the fender correctly if they had it on the stand with the front tire secured. (Possibly hitti g the wheel grips.)
I found out part of the issue they had. The fender mount is so long that it makes contact with the brake caliper when it's where it should be.
This still does not excuse them not contacting me to tell me they're going to mount the fender crooked, or tell me they mounted it crooked prior to paint.

Looks much better in the last pics you posted but looks like new holes and paint work in your future to fix correctly. Hopefully, they make good on it!
I didn't make bike night, if you did, hopefully you had a good time and the turnout was good.

This! They should have contacted you once they had it mocked up to show you the issues and suggest possible fixes.

I made it. Lots of people there. Didn't know anyone. Felt out of place lol. Some pretty women there think they were all taken.
