I agree with you man. In theory they should see that the fender THEY mounted totally looks off and could have been done better.

But in reality it might be tough to get them to admit to that and give you a refund. This is where a good relationship with the stealer comes into play and MIGHT help ya.

Good luck to you if you choose to go the refund route brother.

I just put a piece of paper on my computer screen and copied the line of the fender. Then tilted/rotated the front down and it follows the tire perfectly.

Just need to remount it and possibly make the holes a bit larger - worst case.

You Sir are a total Beast and a true help. Lol

Could you tell what position the mounting bracket was in?

Thank God we have at least one SMART person here.

PB if you get a dremel for massaging the holes be sure to get a high speed steel rasp bit. it looks like a 1/8" drill bit but has a bunch of sharp teeth on it. good for making minor mods in metal parts. use it on a medium speed so you don't overheat the metal and burn the paint. it may be slow going but you can get quite accurate and no damage. by 'medium speed' i mean the speed the dremel is running when under load grinding against the metal.

OK. I removed the top bolts and moved it forward. I've got fuel lines in front and back.

There's still a gap up top, and the mounting bracket is crooked.

The bottom bolts will have to be removed also and the fender moved down and back.

Good job so far! From this perspective it looks like it would need to be moved down (parallel to the fork legs) at least another 3/8''. Once done rotate slightly counter clockwise until the fork legs are in the middle of the fender mounting bracket. After you mocked up everything I would take some pics of the correct position, mount it back (in the actual but wrong position) and take it back to the dealer together with the photos. As they messed it up let them take care of the rest (fixing and repainting the fender)...

Bacon, orient the fuel lines to run along in the same direction of the tire (front to back, not side to side like you have them in the picture).

That will allow you to sit the fender lower on the tire.
Cut the fuel hose into 4 equal size pieces. Put two pieces next to each other towards the front of the fender and put two prices next to each other (both in the same orientstion I mentioned) and tape them to the tire. Than mount the fender on top of them to get the correct height.

The closer the two pieces of fuel line are to each other, the lower the fender will sit. The further apart they are, the higher the fender will sit.

Try that and take another set of pics. We should see a difference.
