Phone cameras are pretty good man. Don't buy a camera, I think the problem with the pics you posted is that they are indoor pics. Once you get out in the sun the pics will be much better.

I know Dog's gonna think I'm nuts BC everything I do is about opposite of what he does.

Kicking around the idea of putting a taller front end on mine to get a little more ground clearance. I'm needing to swap the aluminum for chrome anyhow.

Looking at my bike I see all kinda of stuff that needs changed.

Headlight: new one here waiting for install
Swingarm: probably need to chrome it.
Front blinker covers: need chrome not black
PM 6 piston caliper front 4 piston rear
Wheels: waiting on delivery
Front end: chrome, the "Dog" mod
Upgrade rear shocks
Exhaust: more than likely Bassani Sweepers Chrome
Have a custom cover made for the coil
Another engine build

Oh my gosh, can't I just be satisfied????

Engine build.........this should be fun. I've always liked target 64'S hillside 107. Sounds mad as hell with nice power and tq.

I can't make up my mind on the build. Keep thinking s&s 585 and flip flopping the cams.

Bobby Woods said 999 cams. Can't get over the racket the valve trains make with his cams.

Tman says 660sm.

I get more confused the more I think about it.
It's best when you can get everything done at one good shop. less confusing and less hassle. Check out "Headhoggers" - A rather diligent member here turned me on to them, and I must say I am impressed. They are making some sick builds with ruler-flat TQ curves. you don't need a super big cam to make gobs of TQ and power. You just need all right parts put together and designed for each other correctly. http://www.headhoggers.com/home.html - i think they have dyno charts on the pages along with the various builds.
[EDIT] found them here, check the 107 builds on the page http://www.headhoggers.com/dyno-sheets.html

107" build: 129HP/134TQ with 10.4 comp and Woods TW-777 cams, bored stock throttle body to 52mm, 4.9 injectors. You put this with 3.00 or better overall gearing to the rear wheel and you'll have a stiffy all day long riding that thing. if you go with a 57mm TB, W9F cam and 11.3:1 comp they are getting 140hp and 127TQ, and ridiculously flat TQ/HP curves. Very uncommon, which means someone knows wtf they are doing over there.

117" build: 142HP and 135TQ, 57mm TB - but you have to bore your cases and definitely upgrade the crank.

Anyway this is probably the place that will do my work. There is nothing good in Los Angeles that I can find.

you can us the upper fork tubes from a Wide Glide, they are 1.5" longer and will fit right on to your lower sliders. I already researched this. However, upgrading your springs and dampers will keep the bike up about 1" higher than normal, no sag in corners and stuff, so you might not need the longer tubes. however, say you wanted to later on use the longer wide glide tubes, no problem. just cut longer preload spacers and done. so the suspension upgrade would not be a waste.

By the time I wear this one out I'll have all the parts for a *** kickin build. For now I'll have to watch you guys spend your money.
Don't sweat the shorter gear ratios- you can ride all day long at 3500 or even 4000, 4500 rpm and not hurt a thing. right now 6th is pretty much a gutless, useless gear with the extremely tall overall drive ratio.

Did you know that before all this EPA crap that HD's came with a 3.15 overall drive ratio, a 5 speed, and some of the FXR's came with 3.23? The 01 RK Classic 95 had a 3.37 overall ratio. They were a lot more fun to ride even with the smaller motors. the only thing that our current tall gearing is doing is making the EPA happy and also satisfying the gov DOT noise laws for manufacturers. the taller gearing is not there because it is better for your bike.

I hear you on the build- makes sense. you'd have to have headwork and TB / injectors to make the numbers from the cam.

Harleytechtalk forum, first page and only fxsb dyno that I've seen on there. Hit the dyno run page. Drago bike works did the build. He makes his own blower cams.
