Hey PB- since we were discussing larger CI builds in the other thread, I thought you might like to see what can actually be done with 120" when built correctly. and no turbo or SC. This is kinda why I was sayin you should be able to get a lot better out of your 103 build with those nice heads, or if you are going to invest the coin in big inches, at least know what the potentials are from good builders. the costs are about the same whether it's a mediocre build or a good build.
Here is a 124" complete kit that will kick your ***, price is not too bad either. http://www.hemiengineering.com/pages/sskit.html

yeh it is NOT really streetable- makes all it's power up top. just somethin i threw out there because I think PB got a bit short changed on his build. no need to go 124 to get good hp/tq numbers on a town bike. properly built 103 or 107 should be more than plenty with good manners.
Gearing is also key to a good engine build's performance so something like a 1.53 primary gear ratio and overall final drive ratio of say 3.25 would be bad ***, and take advantage of the built motor's higher rpm peak power band. 6th is still quite usable and 80mph would be about 3450 rpm. You don't need the 1.53 primary ratio to get 3.25 overall ratio but it helps. can get close with just a 30t front pulley and 68t rear pulley, that would put it at 3.06 with the stock primary ratio . stock overall ratio is 2.79 IIRC.. my ratio with the 68T rear pulley is 2.87. going to a 70t rear pulley is 2.95. The stock overall ratio will never feel perky no matter the build. who wants to do 51mph in 1st gear?? lol
and yeh - PB, Alain- top notch builds guys!!

I don't know Dog, neither pb or I are making big power , but we both went with lil cams. I could not afford headwork , or tb so that was my reasoning. With heads I would not have picked the present cam. The gearing does sit a little tall, but i cruise at 80 to and from work every day. By the time I wear this one out I'll have all the parts for a *** kickin build. For now I'll have to watch you guys spend your money.

Thanks guys.
I actually short changed myself on my build.
I can't make up my mind on the build. Keep thinking s&s 585 and flip flopping the cams.
Bobby Woods said 999 cams. Can't get over the racket the valve trains make with his cams.
Tman says 660sm.
I get more confused the more I think about it.
