Default Vote Needed 33" or 36" Mini Cholos

Needs some help guys I've decided to go with Samson Mini Cholos on my Heritage (top pic) but can't decide between 33s or 36s. So your votes will be the deciding factor. Thanks in advance!

33s

36s

Apparently not from Samson according to anything I have read on this forum.

I have the 33's on my bike. I found it was the best compromise between the classic look of long fishtails and scraping (or lack thereof). I do not want to have to change my everyday riding style to accommodate exhaust tips two feet behind my bike. I find that on curvy mountain roads, I can scrape the tips of my 33's on higher speed reverse-camber climbing turns. I expect to scrape my floorboards if I ride fast enough, but if I had tips 3, 6 or even 9 inches further rearward, the scraping would be worse. I do not have air suspension, which, I suppose, if I were willing to jack up the rear of my bike, I could reduce the scraping. As it stands now, I have the stock rear suspension.

It is my contention that the super-long pipe and giant front wheel fads will pass (much like the day-glo colors of years past), but classic looks stand the test of time. That said, I like the looks of the long pipes, and H-D owners are always looking for a reason to change their bikes, so if the fad passes, it will probably be just the right time for the next new "in" look. What length do YOU like? That should guide you, not OUR votes..

Ride safe!

33" at the most but I would say personally 28.5". I have Samsons in that length and I have to be careful pulling out of driveways not to scrape and backing up to park.

I have not lowered my bike and have the stock shocks on my Deluxe. If you get longer fishtails you will scrape frequently without air shocks.

I think the 28.5" have the classic fishtail look, just past the rear fender, and are fully functional with a stock shocked bike.

33" do look good though.

I like them both equally so it makes the decision much harder... I've always loved fishtails ever since I had them on my old shovel flt. I really may prefer the 36s but am agreeing that I don't want to change my riding style to accommodate a "look"
