yeah it does it more when i'm on the throttle. and not so much when i back off. the tires are original i assume with only 5,300 rounds on them. i don't know if anytnigs ever been done to them... i will look to see if a weight is missing...

Balance issue, and if the balance is ok you will be joining the ranks of us Fatboy owners who swear that the solid front wheel causes this problem, as it is more of a sail than a wheel.... I changed mine to a spoke mag & the problem went away & never returned, and I'm just one of many out there who feel the same about this issue.

2001 fatboy and I have never noticed any serious drag from the solid rims. I hear it all the time but honest imho I doubt its the rims. My first guess is same as many balance but if it continues and you cant figure it out do not mess around go get it checked. Many things we can play with but front end issues not being one of them. Okay I just read this and i sound like my father. May he rest in peace.

Have you checked the rear drive belt sproket (not sure if that is the correct term) to ensure the bolts are torqued correclty. I remember reading something simular regarding vibrations while on the throttle but not so when off.

I would also make sure the wheels are tracking parallel. It doesn't take a whole lot of misalignment for the bike to start acting strange as the speed increases and its one of those things where the faster you go the worse the problem gets. Another thing to check is the neck (steering) bearings. I think they stem bearing adjustment is a 10,000 mile serice item on most stock bikes but if they were set up a littleloose to start with or someone forgot to preload them after replacing and reinstalling them (if that has ever been done) that could cause the problem to creep up on you over time too.
