Default Looking for exhaust advice for the wifes ride

I am looking to get a full exhaust for my wifes 2013 Fat Boy so I can put her new bags on. The pipes we are looking at are the Bassani Road Rage 2:1, the Rush 2:1 and the Rinehart 2:1. She wants, of course the nice deep throaty sound, but not crazy loud. She seems to like the Bassani sound from utube vids, But, I hear those are loud.

Any thoughts or advice on what you guys have or have heard.

Thanks!

I bought an '06 Deluxe a couple months ago. It came with a Rinehart 2-1. The thing is stupid loud. At least as far as I'm concerned. I took out the baffle and wrapped it fiberglass, then put it back in, but it did little to tone it down. I'm either gonna try to retrofit a different muffler onto the system, or swap it out for something quieter.

Now some folks like loud pipes. I do too.....for short trips. On a long road ride, it becomes annoying.

I would recommend going to a local bike night or run and listen to as many pipes as you can. I would not go by the sound of an exhaust system from an internet sound clip.

Are you looking for chrome or black? The Bassani pipes sound great IMO, they are very distinct sounding and are only loud when really jumping on the throttle. They have a nice deep sound while cruising and have more of a bark when really on the gas. They sound similar to the D&D Fat Cat if you know what that pipe sounds like...

Don't be in a hurry ~ Make a "real sound" decision. Never met a rider that wasn't willing to talk what he/she has on the bike.

Check out supertrap. They make good power and can be made to run pretty quiet.
