Well, if we were not so far apart I would love to take you up on that offer. I believe I can make a few adjustments on the fly and would love to see how well I can hang with you and your mates. I'm not saying I can outrun you but I am saying I would love to see what I and the bike can do.

I'm going out west the end of July, 1st of August and looking very much into seeing how well I can do a little carving of my own. My front suspension is very tight, near what you might feel on a sport bike and I can do what I want or need on the rear. Can't wait!! Sitting here thinking, maybe when I get back from that trip I will openly and honestly say how I did, scarping, digging in even if I lay it down, I will be honest. I can tell you this right now though, I ain't going down!!! I know when enough is enough and how much room I have to play with...or not! I don't need to push it past its "safe zone". Its a cruiser, not a carver but I'm still looking forward to playing.

low ground clearance equals scraping hard parts!!! I run my rear shock with more preload than my weight requires just so i can avoid the scraping of footboards. Of course I sacrifice a bit of straight line comfort in doing so.

I said it before, will repeat it again. An Old Bro told me long ago, if your ain't scrappin you ain't ridin right. I did a little road racing back in the day and did fairly well on my 75 Super Glide. I been told many times that people have never seen a Harley cut curves like I did. Knock on wood I have yet to ever go down. I am anxious to see what I can do out west, short of going down on it.
