Default lowering with progressive

ok folks i need to lower my deluxe's front end because the new 21" makes her ride to high. im about 1" to high at the frame. progressive says their measurements are from the fork. so what have you guys done to get it level again? Im thinking the full 2" drop but....? input please from those that have done it? still have a 16" rear.

I can't be of much help right now, but I've got the Monotube kit I just put in and set it at 1" lower since I'll be installing a 21/16 combo on my Deluxe. I also installed the lowering bolts for now (until I decide to go with a Shotgun or Progressive 422's), but seeing as I am still waiting for my bags and fender to come back from paint, and also my wheels to come... It will be a bit before I get it back on the ground and checking out the ride height of it. I don't want to go too low as our roads are terrible here in MN, and I have hit some nasty potholes in the past even when doing my best to avoid them. I also don't want to be scraping my stretched bags when cornering. As far as the fishtails go, it's just a matter of time before you scrape them.

I'll be following this thread as well to see what others have their bikes set up with.

i just posted this as well cause i am doing an fl swap on my night train. i know the fl forks are 2 inches shorter than the FX models but i think that is cause the rake isn't as far. i want to make sure you can lower the bike 2" and 22.5 inch fork tubes without bottoming out the fork tubes.

I did a Fl front end swap from FX. I lowered front 1" with progressive drop ins. I run Shotgun shock in rear. I am happy with the ride up front with only 1" drop.
With drop in kit, you may have to play with different fork oils and such if you go 2" drop.
