Who's using a swing arm bag?

To each his own. I bought the leatherworks 312 bag, I wanted something Alittle more than a fork bag just to put a hoodie and pair of riding glasses in and it serves this purpose. I made a mount that uses my existing belt mount holes. Got the idea from someone here that posted a how to (this before there was actually a hard mount kit you could buy). I went with the leatherworks bag as its a rigid thick leather and wanted a bag that would flow and fit the bike. I Didn't want saddle bags or a square bag hanging off of one side of my bike.

I have no problem at all putting 2-2 litre bottles in the Leatherworks 312XL bag. I also think the bag follows the lines of the bike very well.

Hard Mount 312XL
Read Berick's description post #18 this thread. The leather is so thick, and stiff, this -XL bag did not need an entire plate behind it. I think a full steel back plate is a bad idea: Too much weight added. Remember this is unsprung weight.
I used 2 aluminum ribs (I designed to fit exactly) analogous to airplane wing ribs to keep the bag very light, and adding even more stiffness.
I then used coupling nuts with set screws and loctite at the 3 belt guard points.
Cap nuts at the top to attach so you don't scrape your hand, the stock Harley bolt at the bottom was easier to fit with a ratchet, but could be a cap nut as well.
On the Slim, even though the -XL is a wide bag, it never touched down even though the left floor board has.
It looks like I will be selling this bag if someone is interested, very low miles never got wet, and looks brand new.
Here are some photos. The plastic Ziplock bag in one photo is the Registration/ insurance, I saw an internal plate cover up this handy pouch on a different install.
