Default fatboy/deluxe front end swap

i have made up my mind that i would like to do a fatboy/deluxe front end swap on my 2007 night train. my start is kind of slow cause i am unsure what parts i need to get it. so far i have bought the lower legs. i believe i can use my 41mm fork tubes but may have to buy shorter ones to get the look i want. i would like to save money but still do it right so i would like to do a 2 inch drop with progressive mono tubes. now for the help, i need to buy the triple trees, oem ones would be fine but still debating about the HH1 4 degree rake trees so i can run a 23 inch wheel. i will also be using a road king headlight nacelle for the top cover. i still need to find the fork leg covers to go with it as well. i am sure there are alot of people who have done this swap and can help me find a cost effective way to get it done.

Easiest thing would be to look at the Parts manual and see which parts are used on both (night train & fatboy) bikes.

the steering stem presses right out of your current trees and can be reused. You will need the 22" version of fork tubes. Your night train has 24" tubes. As far as running a road king headlight nacelle. Here lies your problem. The touring trees are a touch wider than the softail version. So you need to either go with road king trees or you would need to find the full nacelle kit that fits the softail trees. I'm not sure about your fork internals swapping over. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the dampers between fx and fl 41mms. I hope this helps. I swapped from a fx springer to a fl 41mm front end.

I will email hhi to see about their trees. I believe they are built to accept the road king head light housing. I will also be able to buy it with a 4 degree rake so it should come out looking cool
