Default Molex connector gods smiling on upon me today

In my quest to relocate my speedometer using a DK customs Kit for sportsters I had to use a sportster's wiring harness.

The problem with that was that the harness from the sportster had the pins in the wrong locations (relative to the rocker's main wire harness). So when I plugged them together my left blinker was activating the high beam indicator light, the right blinker was activating the left blinker activator light lol. Nothing was matching up.

So after looking for an hour and a half over the wiring schematics for both models I decided to remove the terminals from the pin socket on the sportster's harness and match them to the schematics on the rocker's main wire harness.

I was dreading having to do this because as we all know it is a major pain in the *** to get those stupid pins out of the cavities in the sockets.

Well, after about 10 minutes of messing with the first pin I got it out and once that one came out the rest came out in the blink of an eye Lolol.

That made my weekend !!! I was expecting to spend the better part of two days trying to remove those pins Lolol.

Just wanted to share this picture and my excitement lololol.

Carry on boys !!

Once you get the hang of it...the rest is easy!

Congrats on a job well done!

I agree. After the first two the rest came out easy.

Wish me luck tomorrow that all my indicator lights work properly when I plug in the re-arranged harness.
