Default plastic breather gears

Hi all, I have a 1995 heritage evo and was hoping someone on here knows what years the factory put plastic breather gears in the evos and the twin cams. I have herd they started out steel then plastic then back to steel. does any body know the truth about this. thank you.

The factory started using plastic breather gears in the Shovelhead, 1982.

All Evo engines came from the factory with plastic breather gears.

Twin Cam engines do not use a breather gear. Evo's were the last engine to utilize them. Several companies including S&S sell metal breather gears.
