550 chubby's, i absolutely love them. remember those old black and white world war II movies? thats the feeling, like you're a soldier ripping through the black forest or blasting down some country road in switzerland. you know if i had to go to war at that time i would of made damn sure i enlisted in the motorcycle corps.

Hey Xaran,

The Wild 1's website claims that their bars fit with the stock risers. Did you stay with stock or change out the risers?

Yeah, can't get over vonzipper's bars. They look amazing. Been on the phone with wild1 today discussing it. It's not that easy though.

Cables are all gonna have to go, gotta relocate the indicators, and i don't want the passing lights; so that option is out.

Want the heated grips too, but Harley is saying no, but i'm sure that can be worked out with a little fabrication.

Gonna wish I didn't see vonzip's bars cuz this is gonna be a pita.

Can't wait though. [sm=bling.gif]

Also thinking about the 518's, ....you got the "beach", but they are a little more tucked in at the grips. hmmmm

Edit//.... yeah, those bars look steller Springer. Those must be the 551's.

If you have a Triumph dealer nearby, go take a test ride on the America. The stock bars on it are similar to the beach bars.

Tycho124,

Yes the Wild 1 504 work with the stock risers, they are 1.25" inch bars that are sleeved down to 1" at the riser clamps.

On my bike (2005 Annv FLSTFI) all stock cables and wiring (internal) worked with no mods.

I just put on the 1 1/4" HD narrow beach bars and I love them! They are 36" wide. I like them much better than the silly looking pullback risers and skinny stainless bars that come on the deluxe.

I'm not a big fan of beach bars and especially on a Springer. But hey man, it's your ride so who gives a rats a$$ what anyone else thinks.

Ride on bro!
