Default Throttle Cable & Brake Cable ties on handlebar

What should I use to replace these little plastic ties with. Everytime I clean my handlebaror bump against these ties that route the cables along the handlebar, they fall out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kayak

I bought some chrome zip ties that work great. I have seen some chrome cable clamps but they take away from the handlebars IMO.

Here is a picture of the chrome zip ties. They look pretty good in person.

Thanks,

Appreciate the input. What about billets? They look ok? Mine is a 2007 FXST Standard.

My stock black ones were actually pretty difficult to remove even after they had been put in and taken out several times. When I put new bars on my Deuce I changed them to fake chrome plastic ones that J&P sells for about five bucks a set. These "Made-in-China" items look like the stock ones but are chrome - in the same sense that the bumpers on plastic model cars are actually chrome - and equally as poorly made. I had to grind off a good bit of the pointy ends off them to get them to fit in the holes at all and I never want to have to take them back out. They look pretty nice though; a lot better than those stock big blobs of black plastic stuck in the holes.

Thanks for the info. Really appreciat it. I think HD could have come up with something better then the plastic inserts.

Thanks,

Kayak
