I'm thinking about mounting an engine guard on my 01 Night Train. The bike has floorboards off a 2002 Heritage and I am uncertain which engine guard to by.

HD lists several guards, some for the FLST, FLSTC, FLSTS, FLSTSC, FLSTN and others for the FXST, FXSTB, FXSTS and FXSTD models.

Can someone tell me what the differences are? I was under the impression that all Softail frames are the same, so the difference must be in the lower mounting points. Since I have the floorboards off a 2002 Heritage, would I go with the engine guard to match that bike?

Not sure but I think any softail one would work. If you find out for sure and are looking for a used one, I'll be selling mine in a month or so. Looks practically brand new and already has highway pegs on it! (Trading in the bike, taking off a couple things first). Send a PM if interested.
