Default lowering Deluxe front

Ok guys i see the progressive "drop in" isnt drop in, neither is the HD kit. so im wondering what options are there for 1" drop in the front????

Progressive monotubes are the best way to go, imo.

The progressive drop in really isn't that bad of an install + its adjustable 0-2 inches + its $93 on ebay. I have it in mine and installed it alone in about two hours.

The Monotubes add a major improvement on hydraulic damping, and for this reason I'd promote it over the "drop in".

to do the mono's do you have to pull the entire front end apart to slide out the fork tubes??? seems like alot more than 2 hours work?

You need to slide the shocks out the triple trees, but don't need to pull the tubes out.
Took me less than two hours, and believe that a novice wrench could do in that time.

was that on your fxst Ron? i have a Deluxe think its a different job....

Yes, that was on my FXSTB - there's a bit more work removing the cowling etc. on the Deluxe and after that the job is much the same.
