Default Loving my new chubby apes

I got my Wild 1 Chubby 12.5" apes installed and I like them so much better than the beach bars that came on the bike. I went with Magnum Shielding cables in Chromite II which I think looks great with all the chrome on my bike. These were the perfect height for me, I'm 6' tall with a 34" inseam and my hands are just below shoulder level.

Here are the details in case someone is looking for a similar setup.

Wild 1 Chubby 12.5" apes
Magnum Shielding cable lengths
Throttle 36 5/8"
Idle 36 5/8"
Clutch 70 11/16"
Brake 50"

Here are some before and after pics. The bike looks a little different now. I added forward controls, Bare Bones seat, Arlen Ness Big Sucker and more chrome here and there. Friday I should receive my HD low profile dash and flush fit fuel cap and gauge so I should have them installed this weekend. I almost have it the way I want it, just a few more things to go.

Your bike looks great.I just ordered WO's 14" apes for my 13 HSC yesterday.I'm 6' and was concerned about the 14" bars, thinkinging they may not be high enough (I had 16"WO on my 06 RKC).Im thinking the 14's will be just at shoulder height on me.Again your bike looks great !

Thanks guys.

Jimmy, where my hands sit compared to my shoulders, I would guess 14's should put your hands level with the top of your shoulders so you should be good to go.

Night and day difference. The bars and solo seat really compliment that bike well. Just one thing...

FLIP YOUR MIRRORS!

I mounted mine like that too at first, but after it was suggested here, I complied and I'm much happier with the look and functionality.

I have apes and I flipped my mirrors back to the top. I can see everything behind me with my mirrors above my head. I dont care for the upside down mirrors, all I see is arm pits

I've got the same setup on my fatboy lo and it's the most comfortable setup I've ever had. You bike was built for those apes!
