Lines and cable lengths for 12" mini apes on rocker?
I've got some 12" mini apes and some 1" risers I want to put on my rocker but am not sure about how many inches over stock I need my cables. The only ones HD do seem to be made for 4" risers.
I've heard so pretty varying accounts from "stock will fit" to "you need 8 over stock".
If anyone has done this and if so what lines and cables did you go with?
cheers,
Matt.

It depends where your controls are. Some bars are measured by the highest point and some are measured where the hand controls end up.
I used stock cables on my santee 12" bars with 3 1/2" wild one risers. But the hand control area measured closer to 10" high
I now have 13" Todd cycle strip bars and stock Fatboy risers and I use +4 cables
Hope this helps

Did you take the stock bars off the bike already?
If not just measure from the top of the triple tree to the height of the hand controls. Than install your new apes and measure how high your hand controls are from the top of the triple tree. Subtract the two and there you have how much over stock your cables should be.
If you go to Magnum's website they have it set up really easy. Just pick how much over stock you need and you're good to go.

Yeah, I'll probably do that. I'm not 100% sure the cables that are on are stock length as the bike had drag bars on when I got it but I think they are pretty close. Is it a problem to have a bit of xtra cable?
EDIT: Thanks for the tip on magnum. That's too easy not to use!
