Default Lowers

Chillowee Leather makes the best I've seen. Have a set on my Crossbones that I get compliments on all the time. They've black studs around the perimeter and dress them up quite well. I've got some cheap vinyl ones on my Fatboy and they come off pretty quick when the weather turns good while the leather ones on the Crossbones stay on most of the year.

Default Soft Lowers aka Engine Guard Chaps

They are like chaps but for your crash bar. I won't go anywhere without them (I live in MN so I ride in colder weather a lot). The hard ones you have to install and DE-install; these just slip on over the crash bar and I store them in my saddlebag so if I run into a rain shower I can just whip them out and put them on in about one minute time. Check out the Desert Dawgs: http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/harl...n-rain-guards/ if you like to support American made!

I have the Chilhowee leathers on mine and they work great for cold weather. They are of top notch quality and they will make them however you want. They definitely help in colder weather but I take mine off as soon as the temps rise. Takes a whole 30 seconds and they are in my saddlebag.
