I'm sure I will get some negative feedback on this but anytime you alter a motor it needs to be tuned. Can you get away without doing it? Probably but you will not get maximum performance and over time it can even led to damage of the engine and or engine parts. The main culprit is excessive heat and we all know heat is the enemy!
